LIAM ROBINSON
ART DIRECTOR & ANIMATOR

In 2003, I graduated with a BFA in Film, Animation, and Video from the Rhode Island School of Design.  Since then, I’ve made it my personal goal to grow and learn as much as I can in animation, storyboarding, and illustration.  Including, receiving my certificate in 3D animation for Games and Media from the University of Washington in 2010.
I’ve worked on several Emmy award nominated and winning shows including “Wordgirl”, “Fizzy’s Lunch Lab”, and “Time Warp Trio”.  Recently, in Seattle, WA, I’ve made a very successful dive into iOS games with Z2, including “Trade Nations” and the 2012 Geekwired 2.0 Start up Game of the Year, and nominated for Apple’s iOS game of the year “Battle Nations”.  Both of which have been consistently in the top 50 most grossing apps. I was largely involved in creating intros, cutscenes, advertisements, and logo animations for all of Z2’s products.  My biggest star achievement was my role as an Art Director for Popcap on the award winning and highly popular "Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time" on iOS and Android where I oversaw the art, brand, and marketing on every update to the game which continues to break records within the company.  After which, I was asked to lead Electric Manta's Art Department as Studio Art Director where my duties lie within Art Management, Website design, Presentation, Brand Direction, Logo Design, Hyper and Hybrid UI, Art Direction of 4 casual games and 6 Hyper/Hybrid casual games a month, Art documentation, Managing the careers of the studio artists, Training Jr Artists, Hiring/Staffing, Working with outsourcing studios, and working alongside design, production, and engineering to help meet product and studio goals.
